In addition to the comfort and quality offered to the users by the well-designed shopping areas; It has the power to positively affect the dynamics of transformation and change for the environment it is in. Selcuklu Center, which was realized in Konya's fast-paced modern face, was designed with these sensitivities and to create a landmark for its environment. It is foreseen that the building, which is thought to make a positive contribution to the silhouette of the environment, will also live as an interesting and gathering center. In this sense, it is suggested to the employer not to use the precedent right completely in order not to adversely affect the city silhouette despite the zoning density of the parcel. The acceptance of this proposal by the employer is the reflection of respect for the environment and sensitivity to the architectural design.


The building is massively fragmented vertically and horizontally. It consists of a shopping center mass horizontally and an office tower oriented to the city at an angle vertically. In this way, the building can exist proportionally both at the human scale and at the urban scale. The total area on the ground of the horizontal block on the parcel, which is 10,970 m², is approximately 5,300 m². A multi-purpose use is envisaged as various shops, markets, cafes and restaurants within the horizontal block. Unlike today's indoor shopping mall understanding, the stores are arranged around an open square. The pedestrian movement from the intersection point towards the Stadium is directed towards the square of the building with stepped stairs and cascading pools. The shopping and eating-drinking areas located on the lower level take place in the center of the gradual landscape created.


In the rising block, there are office floors. Office units on the tower floors are oriented towards the city view, offering office workers a wide panorama of Konya and Seljuks. Office floor plans have been worked with a flexible design understanding in a changeable setup to meet the needs of different users. It can be a single full-floor office when desired, or it can be divided into different sizes.


The office block's positioning behind the intersection and its gradual upward elevation towards the upper floors strengthened the building's relationship with the immediate surroundings. The withdrawal of the shopping center mass allowed the recreational areas to increase. This created linear language organizes the movement within the space and defines different functional areas, indoor and outdoor spaces, and the landscape within the building.


Since fluid lines are preferred in mass form, these fluidities are also used on the surfaces. A simple design has been adopted on the tower façade by creating a contrast with the moving lines in the building. Large deafnesses have been created for advertising areas in the horizontal shopping center.


In addition to its formal feature, it creates vital richness in indoor and outdoor spaces with the quality of the relationship it establishes with its environment. Selcuker Center has become one of the new symbols of Konya and Seljuks by taking its place in the night city silhouette with its night lighting design.
